Original Graphite Sketch by SJ Cooksey

24" x 18" GRAPHITE Pencil on Canvas Paper

A drawing of my dad's 1937 Ford - I remember the car arriving at my dad's workshop in the 90s on a trailer, looking like a pile of junk. My dad had a vision for it. I enjoyed helping him on weekends and holidays, witnessing the 37's transformation from a neglected car to an award-winning beauty. Despite tough times in the 1930s, Ford's 1937 model symbolized progress and innovation through its sleek design. This car represented more than just its era; it showcased beauty, function, and progress during difficult times. It embodied the spirit of excellence and resilience of the 1930s, demonstrating what persistence and hard work could accomplish in the face of challenges.
