The coal shaft head frame, a symbol of the hard work and resilience that built our communities. I remember staring up at them as a kid whilst visiting the @bclivingmuseum , imagining the sheer power it took to lift tons of coal and miners from the depths. These aren't just relics; they're echoes of the past, whispering tales of long shifts, camaraderie, and the backbone of our region. I've always been captivated by their intricate design, the way form and function merged to create something so powerful. Even during my university days, I couldn't shake my fascination, and I ended up designing a bus stop, a transportation link, inspired by their very form. It was my way of honoring that legacy, bringing a piece of our industrial heritage into modern life. These head frames stand as a testament to the ingenuity and strength of generations of miners, and to me, they'll always be a symbol of home.
